Introducing our new Coastal Series Kit, an innovative product that withstands WA harsh coastal elements, while giving you the best protection. Living close to the Coast poses some challenges. Our latest range in sectional doors gives you the peace of mind that the door will be able to withstand the environment.
With the inclusion of brush seals, powdercoated tracks, stainless steel cables, and spring sleeves will add extra protection to your garage door.

COASTAL CONDITIONS & SALT SPRAY
But coastal living also comes with its challenges. Salt spray, salt-laden air, strong winds, high humidity and moisture contribute to a highly corrosive environment, particularly for exposed metal components around the home.
Backed by a 7-year manufacturer warranty that is supported not only by the manufacturer, but also by the applicator. An applicator is awarded the Metaplex Commercial status once the requirements of the Interpon Steelplex™ / Metaplex Accredited Applicator manual and AS4506-2005 have been met.
COASTAL SOLUTIONS
INTERPON POWDER COATING
Our coastal series kit uses an innovative and unique powder coat system called Metaplex, which is applied to the front and back of the garage door, as well as the tracks and brackets.
Unlike traditional powder coating, Metaplex is a 2-part coating system designed to withstand the corrosive affects of salt spray and can be used as close as 1 kilometre from the coast.
COASTAL ISSUES
RUST. CORROSION
Coastal conditions can be extremely tough on garage doors. Salt-laden air and moisture from ocean spray can travel inland, accelerating rust and corrosion on exposed metal surfaces. Homes within 1 km of the coast are most vulnerable, while properties up to 5 kms inland can still be affected. Our coastal upgrade kit has been designed to prevent salt spray ingress, providing an extra layer of defence for your garage door panels, tracks, brackets and fittings.
SUPERIOR SALT SPRAY PROTECTION
The Western Australian government was so impressed with the corrosion-resistant properties of the Interpon Metaplex powder coating product, that they used it on the Matagarup Bridge on the Swan River.
GARAGE DOOR PANELS & TRACKS
Metaplex powder-coating is baked onto BlueScope ZINCALUME® garage door panels, while tracks, brackets and fittings are also powder coated to create a durable protective barrier. This shields the underlying metal from salt-laden air and moisture from the harsh coastal conditions, helping to reduce rust and corrosion, while maintaining the door’s appearance and performance for longer.

STAINLESS STEEL CABLES
Stainless steel cables provide superior resistance to salt spray, moisture and corrosion compared with galvanised steel, helping deliver greater durability, reliability and service life in harsh coastal environments. BRUSH SEALS
Brush seals help block corrosive salt-laden air, wind and rain from entering through the edges of the garage door. The dense bristles also help prevent sand, dust and leaves from being blown into the garage.
