1. Roller Doors
- Full use of ceiling space for car hoist or similar equipment
- Can be manufactured to be much taller and much narrower than the sectional garage door
- Very versatile in its applications: sheds, carports, storage facilities, warehousing, commercial properties, and more!
- Designed for safe operation and keeping property secure
- Can be modified to withstand high to cyclonic wind conditions
- Initial purchase price usually lower than a sectional door of same dimensions
- Street appeal not as high for modern homes and city areas
- Cannot be customised as much as a sectional or custom door
- Single metal curtain design can complicate matters if roller door repairs are required

2. SECTIONAL GARAGE DOORS (ALSO KNOWN as PAnel lift)
- Great for modern street appeal
- Easy to maintain and repair
- A wide range of customisation options
- Can be manufactured wider than roller doors
- Features innovative technology that makes this door particularly quiet and smooth in operation!
- Sturdy and security-oriented door with a lot of available safety, convenience, and stylistic upgrades
- Can be upgraded to withstand cyclonic wind conditions
- Can be upgraded to suit bushfire-prone areas
- Can be upgraded to look like real timber, with none of the downsides of actual timber
- Can be upgraded to thicker grade material with smooth finish for a very clean modern look
- May not suit all areas and needs, in particular industrial areas or for use in sheds, warehousing, storage facilities, etc.
- Extra ceiling space for car hoist or similar equipment may not be available or might evoke a surcharge
- Cannot be practically manufactured as tall or thin as a roller door, meaning it may not fit in all door openings
